Many people have the impression that Chinese goods are dominant in US markets. That is true only in a few highly com

petitive, low-profit sectors. According to US Commerce Department data, China has more than 50 percent of the

US market in such items as umbrellas, toys, prepared feathers, footwear, straw products, and bedding.

Chinese exporters have from 20 to 50 percent of the US market in ot

therefore, can be attributed to the uncertainty over their chil

children’s education-for instance, how many after-school classes should a child take per day and how t

o plan a schedule that would strike the right balance between study and leisure time, homework and hobbies.

Another source of stress for a mom is the relatively rich extra-curricular a

ctivities of other kids, which could prompt her to force her child to do the same. The fear that

her kid would fall behind forces a mom to make the child learn everything that she thinks could be useful.

Chinese parents usually have very high expectations for their kids, so many of them don’t even try to find out what their chil

dren are really good at-and when the kids fail to fulfill their aspirations, the parents feel they have been let down.

In my opinion, the price of an image depends on how d

difficult it was to take the picture and the occasions when will be used,” he added.

Chen Jing, another Beijing lawyer, said, “Footage and photos have yet been priced as stan

dardly as written work, and without clear pricing, some companies may sell the images at an unreasonably high

price or claim an expensive compensation but fail to make a reasonable payment to the authors,” said.

“It results in the authors not being able to have adequate rights prot

ection, consumers paying too much and companies gaining relatively high profits, whic

h, from our current analysis, are illegitimate,” said Chen, from the Commerce & Finance Law Office.

She agreed with Wang on improving laws to change the situatio

Another outbreak in Shaanxi province caused the dea

aths of five pandas between December 2014 and April 2015.

Pandas are docile but can be fierce. In 2005, a female photographer from Hong Kong jumped into a pand

Zhou Mengqi, a veteran photographer in Chengdu, was chased by a panda that had been eating quietly unt

“Its claw touched my shoes before I escaped through a door,” he said.

China has a total of 548 captive pandas. Of those, 285 are in the China Conser

Nation plays vital role in safeguarding and showcasing regional landmarks

China is playing a key role in protecting and displaying heritage, not only at home but also in the region.

For example, the country has partnered with Cambodia to preserve the ancient city of Angkor.

In an interview with Xinhua News Agency in January, Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine

Arts Phoeurng Sackona thanked the Chinese government for supporting her country in preserving its na

tional heritage. She also expressed hope for skills exchanges through such collaboration.

“We’re confident in the abilities of Chinese experts, and through these projects, we hope that Cambodian expert

s will be capable of renovating temples by themselves in the future,” Sackona said.

Ctrip said about one million Chinese travelers will pay visits to Jap

Li Qiuyan, branding director with Lvmama, another online travel agency in Shanghai, said travelers are still excited about

the break even though they only get three days off work — especially those senior college students that will graduate thi
